The journey began back in 2012, when Jacob first stepped into the world of windshield repair, working out of local car washes and quickly becoming one of the top technicians in his company. But when he realized his hard work was being overshadowed by shady business practices and poor treatment of employees, he made a decision that would change everything: he was going to build something better. Something honest. Something his community could trust.
With that drive, Jacob stepped out on his own. A short-lived partnership helped lay the foundation, but ultimately, he and his wife Elise took a leap of faith and created what is now JET Auto Glass - named for the most important people in their world: Jacob, Elise, and their son, Trey.
What started as a small setup offering rock chip repairs at three car washes across Orange County, San Diego, and Redhawk soon evolved into something much more. As car washes moved toward self-serve models and foot traffic dwindled, the Steins reinvented their business entirely. They became fully mobile - just the two of them - combining Jacob’s technical skill with Elise’s determination to learn both the trade and the world of social media. Together, they rebuilt JET Auto Glass from the ground up.
